Axis Insurance Services LLC (Axis) and PLRisk Specialty Insurance Agency, LLC, (PLRisk) under the leadership of the partners Mike Smith and Javier Gonzalez, are pleased to announce the opening of a new branch in Jupiter, Florida. This South Florida marks a significant milestone for the company, which has enjoyed over 25 years of remarkable success primarily operating from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. Javier Gonzalez, Partner and Executive Vice President of Sales, has recently relocated with his family to lead this exciting expansion. This will allow us to better serve our clients and retailers in the Southeastern United States.

About Javier Gonzalez
Javier Gonzalez began his career with Axis Insurance Services in 2005, following his graduation from Fordham University, where he was a standout football player and recipient of a scholarship. At that time, Axis was a small company with only four employees. Over the years, Javier has risen through the ranks, consistently displaying exceptional leadership and strategic insight.
Javi commented on this endeavor saying “I’m excited to get back to my roots in the Jupiter and surrounding south Florida region. The maturation of our company, our management team and our staff now gives us the ability to spend more time in locations we feel are poised for tremendous growth. Expansion into new regions of the country is a crucial part of our future growth strategy and I look forward to growing our team here in south Florida.”
Javier's expertise spans management, professional, and cyber insurance lines. He played a crucial role in launching the company's transactional Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) line, which now accounts for 10% of the company's revenue. His efforts have broadened the company's markets and staff to include wholesale, cannabis, specialty, and small business select units.
Beyond his leadership roles, Javier remains the company's top producer, consistently securing new business. In 2023, he closed the largest deal in the company's 25-year history. With nearly two decades of experience in both retail and wholesale business, Javier is adept at providing solutions for complex and challenging risks, meeting the needs of numerous executives who have benefited from his expertise.
Outside of driving business growth, Javier values spending time with his wife and two children. He is passionate about sports, enjoys golfing, and loves fishing.
