PLRisk is delighted to announce their participation in a volunteer event at the Grace Institute in New York City on September 25th. They will be attending as part of the PLUS Eastern Chapters' annual volunteering mission, where members of the Eastern Chapter volunteer their time to help better the local community. Attending this wonderful event will be Vice President of Sales Matt Culkin and retail producer, Joe Ferri.
The Grace Institute of New York trains and empowers women to achieve employment and economic self-sufficiency. They provide workplace training, job placements, and have a large alumni network, which helps women achieve workforce success. They focus on unemployed or underemployed women living in NYC between the ages of 18 and 64, with a special focus on women of color and single parents. The members of the PLUS Eastern Chapter will be volunteering their time to help these women with resume reviews, practicing elevator pitches and providing other general employment advice/practice.
Matt Culkin when asked about the organization and day of volunteer work, had this to say, “The PLUS Eastern Chapter is committed to enriching the communities that we work/live in and pick a charity/non-profit each year to dedicate and donate our time to. This year we couldn’t be more excited about having the Grace Institute be a part of the initiative.”
