Sometimes being a Broker means doing more than selling insurance to your clients. Sometimes you need a strong relationship and someone to coordinate with them. For this month’s newsletter we are proud to spotlight Broker and Wholesale Development Manager Rachel Coughlin.

Rachel Coughlin serves as the esteemed Professional Liability Broker and Wholesale Development Manager at PLRisk, where she is dedicated to fostering strong relationships between insurance company partners and retail agents. Her role involves understanding unique exposures and coverage needs, helping agents present tailored solutions that deliver significant value to PLRisk's retail partners.

Rachel's journey into the insurance industry began after transitioning from the hospitality sector, driving her passion for serving as a true intermediary. Before joining PLRisk, she honed her skills as a Senior Account Executive at Capitol Special Risks, a division of Specialty Program Group, where she supported retail partners in securing essential coverages. Her ability to negotiate coverage enhancements with underwriters proved pivotal to her success.

Matt Culkin, the Executive Vice President of Sales for PLRisk, had nothing but praise for Rachel and her commitment to PLRisk. “Rachel brings an exceptional depth of knowledge and experience in Professional and Management Liability insurance, making her an invaluable asset to PLRisk and our retail partners. Outside of her professional life, Rachel enjoys playing guitar, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her adventurous spirit and positive outlook on life are reflected in her work and leisure, always planning her next adventure with enthusiasm and a “can-do” attitude.
