**Drew**: Welcome to another PL Risk Perspective interview. This time around we’re looking at Architects and Engineers coverage. Today’s guest is Christine DeFelice, a Professional Liability Broker at PL Risk Advisors.

**Drew**: Now as I understand, you have quite a bit of experience in this field so let’s dive right in.

**Drew: What is A/E Design and Construction Professional E&O?**

 

**Christine:** A/E Design and Construction Professional E&O provides coverage to an Architect/Engineer Design and Construction firm in the event of a lawsuit claiming negligence in providing or failing to provide professional services which causes bodily injury, property damage or financial loss to a third party.

 

**Drew: Why would an agent's client need this coverage?**

 

**Christine:**This coverage protects your client’s firm against significant financial costs associated with litigation alleging bodily injury, property damage or financial loss to a third party as a result of your clients negligent act, error or omission.

 

**Drew: What does A/E Design and Construction Professional E&O cover?**

 

**Christine:** A/E Design and Construction Professional E&O covers damages and defense expenses, including attorney’s fees, for covered claims relating to an act, error or omission in a firm’s performing or failing to perform professional services.
